Todd's Story

This distinguished gentleman is Todd!

Todd is an approximately 8-year-old male Treeing Walker Hound mix who weighs around 50 lbs. Todd was adopted at 1-year old and returned to the rescue recently when the family decided they wanted a new puppy, and Todd could not “warm” up to the puppy.

Todd is searching for a loving forever home that will include him in activities and give him lots of love and attention. He loves to run in the yard, so he needs a securely fenced back yard. Todd is dog friend selective but seems okay with one or two bigger dogs around. He can also be an only dog. He needs to meet any dogs in the home before foster or adoption.

Todd can be playful and energetic, but he can also be laid back and loving. A perfect combination! He had several kids in his past home and did excellent with them.

He appears house-trained, will go in a crate (but not a fan), and is good on a leash.

He is neutered, current on vaccines, on heartworm preventative, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250.

Since Todd is in a daycare boarding situation, he qualifies for a foster-to-adopt or just a foster dog!

To adopt Todd, go to www.foreveryoursokc.org/adoption-application.

To foster Todd, go to www.foreveryoursokc.org/foster-application.

Forever Yours Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy
Every dog that is rescued by Forever Yours is checked by a veterinarian, vaccinated, spay/neutered, dewormed, heartworm/ehrlichia tested and treated if needed, and microchipped. We also treat any other illnesses or issues that the dog may have on intake. We require an adoption application (FYDRadopt.com), but we do not require that you give us your first born or the deed to your house to adopt from us. Our adoption fee is $225.00. If available, you will get an opportunity to talk to your chosen pet's foster family when you meet your potential new family member. This will enable you to ask any questions and learn all about your pet. Forever Yours Dog Rescue does not have a facility, all of our wonderful rescues are in foster homes with families that take care of them and love them until their forever homes come along. We are currently not holding adoption events and doing all adoptions through an online application and then setting up individual meetings for potential adopters. Therefore to meet a dog, we ask that you fill out an application so we can see if a good fit first. The application is in no way an obligation for you to adopt.
