Searching for a dog with a personality that will light up the darkest day? Well, Toby is the pup you might be looking for! He’s a compact 40 pounder and one third of that is his head. Though he may throw a judgemental side eye your way, he really doesn’t mean it (usually). <br/><br/>Toby is<br/>Crate trained<br/>House trained<br/>Loves treats and takes them gently<br/>Learns routine quickly<br/>Loves tough toys and chews, antlers, etc.<br/>Knows sit and is working on down, off, give, and shake.<br/>Walks on leash fairly well unless he sees a cat or rabbit, etc<br/>Learning his recall when off leash (treats are a must).<br/>Loves vehicle rides and sitting with his humans on the couch in the evenings.<br/><br/>Toby’s perfect home:<br/>Is full of patient, dog savvy humans<br/>Has no small humans or frail humans (he guards his food and toys also very energetic at times and jumps up when excited)<br/>Has an easygoing dog companion (he gets excited very quickly and can redirect his energy toward another pup). Slow introduction is a must. He is learning to play with our two dogs. <br/>Has no cats, chickens or bunnies. Toby is your guy.<br/>At 40 pounds, he’s rocking the big head / little body combo and using it to full advantage — mainly to carry around toys and deliver his award-winning side-eye.<br/>He’s goofy, cuddly, sweet as can be, and once he bonds with you he turns into a velcro snuggle bug. His must-have list is simple:<br/>✔ Toys<br/>✔ Chews (seriously — stock up)<br/>✔ A patient human who lets him warm up and be his best self<br/>Behind those “judging eyes” is a soft, loyal boy who just wants to love his people and look ridiculously handsome doing it.<br/>Think you can handle the side-eye and the snuggles?
