Toby's Story

*** AVAILABLE ON-SITE ONLY FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS ***

Total Adoption Fee: $895
This includes our standard adoption fee of $395 plus an additional required $500 tax-deductible donation. Why the additional donation? Dogs with highly desirable traits-such as low-shedding coats and popular breeds-help us fund lifesaving care for dogs who need it most, including nursing moms, imaging and surgeries for dogs with traumatic injuries, and medications for those requiring lifesaving heartworm treatments. Your generosity makes this possible!

You're going to want to meet Toby! Just look at that face, and if you think he's adorable now, imagine how cute he'll be once the rest of his (we think low-shedding!) coat grows out!

Toby is an energetic, confident, happy guy who believes life is best spent playing. He loves people of all ages and will be just as content with or without other pets, so he'd fit right into almost any home. He'll play with just about anything, including his own reflection: when he spots himself in a floor mirror, he's convinced he's found a new best friend.

He gets along great with the resident cat, and the two even enjoy an occasional playful chase (quite a feat, since she's not the playful type!). Even better, he isn't obsessed with her. He much prefers his humans. And just when you wonder if he'll ever stop playing, turn off the lights and Toby sleeps soundly through the night.

Potty training is going great! With regular breaks, Toby heads outside, does his business quickly, and skips the dilly-dallying. He walks nicely on a leash, though for now he prefers to stay close to "home as he knows it," so he's happy to finish up and head back inside. That's simply about new surroundings, not energy, so if his forever family loves walks, he'll catch on in no time. Whether you want an indoor play buddy or a future outdoor adventurer, Toby is ready to become exactly that.

He's picked up the house rules and routine remarkably fast and responds right away to redirection. And you'll rarely hear a bark out of this little man. He has a wonderful temperament!

Make an appointment to meet Toby today!

Saving Grace Animals for Adoption's Adoption Policy
All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccinations, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $395.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member. Our Adoption Request Form can be completed online at our website at https://savinggracenc.org/adopt/. An Adoption Request Form is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a potential adoptee or a foster home. Sending an Adoption Form does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. If you'd like to donate to help cover the cost of care for these wonderful dogs awaiting new homes, please visit the donate page on our website at https://savinggracenc.org/give/donate-now/. Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.
