She was born here at SPARRO to a beagle mix mom that came to us pregnant during covid. Toby is another example of a great dog who just never had anyone ask to meet her. As with all dogs that come to SPARRO the policy is if you don't find a home you can live out your life as part of the family in our sanctuary program. As the years have passed Toby has been a favorite and has even slept with me at night. Those years have also allowed her to become selective of the people she likes as part of her circle of friends. She has always been great here, but in the past year has decided my wife in no longer a part of her circle. Barb had always petted Toby, played with her, gave her treats and cheese, but one day something changed and Toby would no longer come near Barb. Then the barking and growling began and I decided it was probably not a good idea to allow her to be near Barb. <br/><br/>Because of this a special family is what we are trying to find. She is very friendly and playful with the people she likes, but can be selective. Because of that a family that doesn't get a lot of visitors might be a better option. She is active and playful and I think an active family without younger kids would be great. A fenced yard for sure so she can run and play safely without the chance of a random stranger that she might not like wandering by. She is spayed, vaccinated, house trained and crate trained. She sleeps in her crate at night with no issues. If you would like to know more about Toby or set up a visit to meet her, please feel free to email me.
