Toby-adopted!'s Story

We are not really sure what Toby is but he sure looks like a terrier mix. We were told Shih Tzu / Dalmatian mix. Toby is roughly 20 - 25lbs.

Toby was rescued from certain death at three days of age, hand-reared, and loved for all of his eight years. Now, because of his owner's health issues and an upcoming move, he needs to find a new home.

Toby is a sweet-natured boy whose favorite thing in the world is to play fetch! He is bright, quick, and alert, and doesn't seem like a senior dog at all. And yet, when you want to relax and watch TV, he is happy to curl up nearby and snooze.

Toby spends his nights quietly in his crate, but is also well-behaved during the day when he is left loose in the house. He is fully house-trained and gets along well with our three dogs, large and small. He has also begun to enjoy frequent Off-Leash walks.

Toby may not have the patience for very small children, so we are recommending he go to a family with children over seven years of age, or adults only. Fill out an application and come over to meet this dear boy: throw the ball around and see his eyes light up! He is waiting for you.

br>Adoption Application

NEW HOPE DOG RESCUE is not a shelter. We usually don't add the pending until we are pretty sure the adoption will go through (like at the home visit stage)

On Trial or Trial Visit - means that the dog is in their new home for up to 2 weeks before the adopters need to commit to keeping the dog. We want to make sure that everyone is happy with the new living arrangements! We allow this option for everyone except very long distance adoptions (too far to drive).

Adopted - you know!! A happy ending for a homeless dog. We try to let everyone know when we have the final word. Within about 24 hours, the dog's bio will be moved to our happy tails section!
