Toby's Story

Toby: Ready, Set, Zoom!
3-5 yrs, 15 lbs, Schnoodle Mix (we think), Non Shed, Pasadena CA

Toby is a sweet, playful, energetic boy with a serious case of puppy energy! He loves being around his people and other dogs and is always ready to play—whether that means a game of fetch, playing with his canine friends, or breaking into a full-blown case of the zoomies. He’s also a big fan of snuffle mats, lick mats, walks, and soaking up the sunshine.

Despite all that energy, Toby knows how to settle down and loves nothing more than snuggling with his people on the couch when playtime is over. He’s also does well on car rides!

Toby tends to be submissive and respectful with other dogs, but he’s not a pushover—he can absolutely hold his own during playtime. He would love a home with another young, friendly, playful dog who can keep up with him.

His ideal home would have a secure yard and people who are excited to keep him active, engaged, and learning. Toby would thrive with someone who enjoys playing, going on walks, working on training, and providing the structure and consistency he needs. Older kids are welcome as long as they understand and respect his boundaries.

Toby can be a little unsure when he encounters new environments, so he’ll need a family who is patient and willing to go at his pace while he builds confidence. He currently does best with regular potty breaks about every 4–5 hours. A belly band is used as a precaution during longer periods between breaks in case of an accident.

With a little time, encouragement, and plenty of fun, Toby is sure to blossom into an amazing companion. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, active pup who can be your adventure buddy and your couch cuddle buddy, Toby might be your guy!

Toby is healthy, neutered, current on his vaccinations and microchipped. We are now accepting adoption applications for Toby. https://bichonrescuebrigade.org/adopt/adoption-form/
