Toby's Story

Meet Toby!

This tiny, spunky little guy is the total package!

At about 112 years old (possibly a Shih Tzu/Poodle mix), Toby is basically a toddler in dog form — full of personality, always on the move, and not particularly interested in sitting still for photos. Please bear with us while we wait for pictures to slowly roll in where he doesn't look like he's auditioning to be the next Flash. (We will post new photos in the comments as his foster gets them )

Green Flags:

Kennel trained Loves to snuggle Kid friendly Dog friendly Sleeps through the night when you let him Loves car rides Appears to be low/non-shedding

Yellow Flags:

Toby was recently neutered and is still working on his house manners and occasional marking, but he's already making great progress. His leash skills are improving every day. He can be a bit vocal if something startles him or catches him by surprise.

Red Flag:

Toby is a door dasher.

And when we say fast, we mean FAST. It happens in the blink of an eye. His future family will need to have a solid plan in place to prevent escapes and be diligent about doors opening and closing. While Toby loves kids, little ones coming and going can make accidental escapes much easier, so please carefully consider this before applying.

The good news? Toby's foster family has been working with him every day and he has made incredible progress in so many areas. He simply needs a family willing to continue that work and set him up for success.

His biggest flaw, though?

You may become wildly unproductive because Toby firmly believes laps exist for snuggling and that any free moment should be spent cuddling him instead.
