** We have received lots of great applications for Tobias and are no longer accepting new ones.**<br/><br/>Tobias came to the Shelter on January 3rd due to his owner's housing issue. We were told he had his vet care, but he arrived with no vet records, so he will need to see our vet and get updated on vaccines and other care before he is available for adoption. He is seven years old and very, very sweet. We were told he is great with kids and friendly with other dogs. He loves to go for walks, appears to be housebroken and has been friendly with everyone he has met. He was even well-behaved for a much-needed nail trim!<br/><br/>The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application here: medfieldshelter.com/adopt<br/><br/>If a dog is listed on our website, it is still available for adoption; however, there may be applications ahead of yours. We typically receive many applications for every dog we post. All adoption meetings are by appointment.<br/><br/>Our dog adoption fee is $450 for dogs aged seven months to seven years old, and $250 for dogs aged eight years and older. Every dog we place receives age-appropriate vaccines, is treated for worms, ticks, and fleas, tested for heartworm, microchipped, and spayed or neutered before adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash. Please fill out the adoption application if you would like to be considered for a dog in our care.<br/><br/>With few exceptions, dogs are happiest and well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families willing to commit to both.
