He was suffering from severe yeast infection with significant hair loss and damaged irritated skin.<br/><br/>And look at him now. <br/><br/>He has come so incredibly far. His skin has improved tremendously. He feels better and underneath everything he went through is the sweetest most deserving boy.<br/><br/>The reality is that some of Tobias’ fur may never grow back. He was evaluated by a dermatologist and he is currently on allergy meds while we wait to determine if a skin biopsy is appropriate to see if there is some sort of food allergy. However, they believe we may be at the point where this is simply what Tobias will look like... and we wish someone would see past it.<br/><br/>People meet Tobias. They spend time with him. They see what a good boy he is... and then they leave without him.<br/><br/>Tobias is around 4 years old and approximately 50 pounds. He is dog friendly. He is cat friendly. He’s loving, sweet and has already endured more than enough in his short life. He may take a minute to warm up to new people and show his true personality but he is worth it. <br/><br/>He also has an old leg fracture that healed before coming to us, leaving him a little bow-legged.<br/><br/>He may never have a perfect coat. His legs may never look perfect, but Tobias does not need to be fixed to be worthy of a home.<br/><br/>He needs someone who looks at this speckled little body, sees everything he survived, and thinks “That’s my dog.” <br/><br/>Please help us find the person who finally chooses him.<br/><br/>We will be covering his vetting until we determine if there is an underlying allergy <br/><br/>Sometimes the dogs who look a little different are the ones who have fought the hardest to get here.
