Toasty's Story
Toasty is a 4-month-old terrier mix, likely low- to non-shedding, with the most adorable scruffy golden coat and warm, expressive eyes to match his name. At about 8 pounds now, he’s expected to grow to around 15 pounds full grown — a perfect small companion with a big heart.

Toasty came to us with his brother Boo after the pair were found as strays at a local shelter. While their early life is a mystery, Toasty is quickly showing everyone just how special he is as he settles into foster care.

He may be a little shy when first meeting new people, but once he feels safe, Toasty’s happy, playful puppy personality shines through. He loves to run, explore, and zoom around the yard, and he thrives on companionship. Toasty enjoys being close to his people and would love a family who includes him in daily life.

Toasty would do wonderfully in a home with another friendly dog to help build confidence and provide a built-in playmate. He also does great with kids and enjoys an active, fun household full of love and interaction.

As a young puppy, Toasty has no formal training yet, so his forever family will need to be committed to potty training, socialization, structure, and gentle, positive guidance. With patience and consistency, Toasty is going to grow into a confident, affectionate, and well-rounded little dog.

Sweet, scruffy, and full of promise, Toasty is ready to leave his stray days behind and start his best life yet.
Is your family the one he’s been waiting for?

First Step Is To Apply Now
[Apply Now](http://form.jotform.com/underdogca/dog-adoption-application)
For application updates, forwarding requests, or any questions, contact us at adopt@underdogca.com.
