Toaster Strudel's Story

Toaster Strudel, also known as Toast or Toasty, is a classic slow burner with big Sour Patch Kid energy. He can be shy and a little nervous in new surroundings at first, but once he feels safe and comfortable, he truly shines bright.

He was found as a stray with an embedded collar. What was once a shiny new collar on a growing puppy was never adjusted as he grew, and over time it became a painful reminder of a life without proper care or love. Despite that rough start, Toast is incredibly resilient and still believes in people.

Toast is an active, happy pup who loves running laps in the yard and letting his zoomies fly. He absolutely adores other dogs and often follows his dog friends around, so a confident canine companion would be a great match for him. When he's not stuck to a dog friend, Toasty is usually stuck to his person. Once he trusts you, he becomes a true Velcro dog who wants to be as close as possible... sometimes very close.

Toast is cat friendly and respectful of boundaries, though he may occasionally chase for play, so a dog-savvy cat would be best. He is crate trained and genuinely loves his crate. It's his safe space, and he'll often choose to relax there when he's feeling unsure. Toast does great being crated while his fosters are at work for 8 hours with no issues.

Leash walking is still a work in progress. Toast may bounce and get a little wiggly, but he loves going on walks and exploring new smells.

At home, Toast is the chaos in the best way. Random zoomies, jumps, wiggle-butt moments, and goofy energy that will keep you smiling. He's fully potty trained, happy, energetic, and ready to bring a whole lot of love into the right home.

If you're patient, kind, and ready for a dog who blooms with trust, Toast might just be your perfect match
