TJ's Story
Meet TJ, a sweet and friendly six-year-old, neutered black male Labrador Retriever mix who is in need of a new place to call home. TJ is being surrendered because his owners feel he has too much energy for them to currently manage with an active two-year-old child. They believe he deserves a family who is able to spend more time with him.

TJ is very respectful of his current owners 2-year-old son. They also have a 15-year-old son who TJ sleeps with at night. He can be placed in a home with children of any age or without children. He is excitable around people, but he loves everyone he meets. He is in need of some obedience training particularly with jumping up on people, but he is food motivated. He does know a number of commands. He also takes treats very nicely.

TJ loves to be outside. His current owners believe with training he would be a good hunting dog. He has been known to point which is one of the reasons they believe he is mixed with a German Shorthaired Pointer.

TJ is susceptible to ear infections which will need to be managed. He is otherwise a healthy dog.

His current owners feel he would do better in an active home where he will receive adequate daily exercise to help manage his energy level. His owners feel he would enjoy a fenced yard but one is not required.

TJ is good with other dogs, but he does not need one.

TJ currently lives with one cat. Until recently, the owners had two cats which he peacefully coexisted with.

PLEASE NOTE: While this Lab may not be available for adoption by the time you complete the adoption process, other great Labs are always finding their way into our Rescue.

For more information on this Lab, please contact info@brooklinelabrescue.org.

If you are interested in adopting this Lab or any other Lab from our Rescue, please visit our Web site, brooklinelabrescue.org, for more information on our adoption process.
