Titan's Story
Meet Titan! This Yorkie gentleman has movie-star eyelashes and truly elite manners. Titan came to Miri’s Haven when his deeply loving military family was stationed overseas, and their one wish was for him to be cherished just as much in his next chapter.

Titan is affectionate, happy, smart, and absolutely devoted to his people. He loves treats, walks, car rides, and being involved in daily life. When he’s excited, he spins in joyful circles, and if your attention drifts, he’ll politely paw you to bring it right back where it belongs. He’d thrive in a calm, quiet home with a fenced yard, a steady routine, and humans who are around often to give endless snuggles and attention. In return, he’ll happily alert you to anyone (or anything) at the door.

He’s mostly housebroken (uses pee pads), sleeps through the night (preferably in bed with you), walks great on leash, rides well in the car, and is wonderful with kids and other dogs. He’s fine staying home alone when needed, but truly loves having his people nearby.

Because Titan has Protein-Losing Enteropathy (PLE), he needs a forever home with a family who understands his medical needs and is committed to providing the care and attention he deserves. PLE is a condition where the body loses protein through the gastrointestinal tract, and while serious, dogs like Titan can live full, rich lives as long they receive consistent treatment and monitoring.

Titan currently eats a prescription hydrolyzed protein diet to help his body absorb nutrients and takes daily medications, including cyclosporine to reduce immune-mediated inflammation and prednisone to help control his condition. He feels great day to day and has improved significantly since starting treatment. His adopter will need to commit to continuing his medications and special diet long-term, and ensuring he receives regular veterinary care and monitoring from an internal medicine specialist.

Titan is ready to be treasured like the little king he is ~ and he’ll repay you with endless love, snuggles, and joy.

Titan is approximately 10 years old and 7 lbs.

Fostered in Bristow, VA
Please apply at MirisHaven.org
