Titan's Story

Titan is an 8-year-old, 130 pound Anatolian mix who is basically a grumpy old man in a dog body — complete with strong opinions, a strict daily schedule, and absolutely zero tolerance for nonsense.

He is a Livestock Guardian Dog through and through. That means he’s intelligent, independent, observant, and very aware of what is happening at all times. Nothing is “wrong” with Titan — he just knows exactly what he wants… and expects you to know it too.

Daily walks? Mandatory.
Dirty drinking water? Offensive.
Trying to pass off a milkbone when he knows there are Pup-Peronis in the cabinet? Downright disrespectful.

Titan is whip-smart and will absolutely use that intelligence to hold you accountable. His routines are sacred. If he doesn’t get his walk, he will pace and stare at you until you correct your mistake. Consider it gentle (but firm) management.

He also prefers a colder climate and enjoys snow as both enrichment and snack. Yes — snack. He will happily eat snow chunks and assist you with shoveling. A true working professional.

Because Titan is a classic LGD, he requires an experienced adopter who understands guardian breeds. He needs:

A physically fenced yard to patrol and oversee his kingdom
A home without other dogs (he’d really prefer to be your one and only)
A person home most of the time (retired or work-from-home ideal)
Structure, routine, and someone who respects his boundaries

He currently lives with three cats and has adjusted well. He’s even befriended one and attempts to play — though he doesn’t always understand when playtime is over or that he outweighs his feline friends by… a lot. Dog-savvy cats with their own safe space would be important.

Titan does experience some separation anxiety, so he thrives in a homebody lifestyle. But here’s the thing about Titan: If you become his person, you are his person for life.

He will be your shadow.
Your protector.
Your devoted, slightly grumbly, deeply loyal best friend.

Yes, he has quirks. Yes, he has requirements. But in return, you get unwavering devotion from a dog who takes his job — and his people — very seriously.
Titan isn’t for everyone.

But for the right person? He’s everything.

If you are interested please apply online, at https://bigfluffydogs.com/dog-adoption/ and email paige@bigfluffydogs.com!
___________________________________________________________________________________

Our main website, www.bigfluffydogs.com has more information about us and the rescue process.

NOTE TO EMAILERS FROM PETFINDER: WE DO NOT RESPOND TO EMAIL INQUIRIES WITHOUT AN APPLICATION.
