Tippy's Story

Meet sweet little Tippy!

This adorable petite chocolate girl is the sweetness everyone needs! She is about a year old and 48 pounds. Tippy is crate trained and very good in the crate, she is leash trained and house trained. She does need to be in a crate when left alone, as she still has a little puppy left in her!

Tippy is a wonderful girl!! She is friendly towards everyone but does not jump when she meets new prople. Tippy is the type of dog that wants your love and attention as soon as she sees you. Going outside on walks makes her super happy and excited and she is great on a leash. Tippy knows when it’s time to settle down such as if you’re working around the house or relaxing in the evening.

Tippy loves the chew. Her foster always has some type of chew toy or frozen Kong available for her. If Tippy does not see any of her toys, she will try to chew on things she is not supposed to. Tippy loves running in the yard with her foster and then wants belly rubs in the grass. Her tail is always wagging. We think Tippy would enjoy kids to run around with to her keep her active.

Tippy hasn’t spent a lot of time with other dogs, but she is happy to see them on her walks and when she was in the shelter, she was fine with every dog she met! However, Tippy has not been around cats.

Young Tippy is the happiest and sweetest dog you’ll ever meet. She will make a great addition to any family!

Tippy is available for adoption in RI on, or after, October 23rd, 2026

If you are interested in Tippy and are an approved adopter, please contact your Adoption Coordinator to be added to Tippy’s list. If you are not yet approved, you can find our adoption guidelines and application at: www.savealabrescue.org
