Hi I'm Tinto! I'm a sweet, friendly tripod puppy estimated at 8 months old as of early November. I landed in a county shelter in very rough condition with a serious old wound that resulted in my rear leg requiring an amputation. I've been through a lot of heartbreak and pain in my short life, but that is all behind me know and all I care about is finding a forever home. I have adjusted amazingly and really don't even care that I'm a tripod - I just need a family that doesn't care either! My rescue is not sure of my breed - they see some Carolina Dog and possibly lab - no one knows for sure, but whatever it is they all say I'm just adorable. My $250 adoption fee includes vet exam, neuter, up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm test (negative) deworming and microchip, all already done. I also received a 12 month Heartworm prevention shot, so I don't need heartworm preventatives until October of 2026! 1) Submit application 2) Application is reviewed for completeness and assigned to an adoption coordinator 3) Adoption coordinator verifies critical information on the application, contacts references and ensures that the requested animal is a good fit for the family 4) Adoption coordinator, in conjunction with rescue management, approves or denies application 5) Upon notification of approval, an adoption coordinator works with foster and adopter to set up an adoption appointment to bring your new family member home! We strive to work through adoption applications as soon as we can. We are 100% volunteer-based so it can take a day or two to complete the review. This also depends on the response time of your references. Should you change your mind or adopt a different animal after submission, please inform us so we do not spend unnecessary time on your application.
