Tinsley's Story

Apply to Adopt Me!

Pretty girl Tinsley is an estimated 4yo, 10lb. possible Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier mix. She loves stuffed toys and cutely stores them in her crate. She is the finder of lost and dropped items, which she also stores in her crate with her favorite toys. She is calm when you are holding her, but high energy with her fur siblings. She is house trained and crate trained. When she first arrived at her foster’s house, she would steal a shoe and chew on it. After replacing the shoe with a toy multiple times, she sticks with her toys. She is cat tolerant after the resident cat trained her. She loves to cuddle on the couch, sleep next to her person and chase her boy housemates around the backyard. When she sits on your lap, she looks up at you adoringly until she falls asleep. She wants to be in the same room as her person. She walks well on a leash in her daily pack walks. She loves riding in the car and usually settles in the car seat after a little scenery watching. Tinsley will do better with a dog close to her size and energy level. She is possessive of her food, so she eats in her crate while the other dogs are in their crates eating. Her crate is open except during meals. She also takes naps in her crate. It hasn’t been necessary to crate her when no one is home, but her foster mom is home most of the time. Tinsley has dry eye which requires drops twice a day forever. She has a slight heart murmur that does not require medication. We are looking for a home with a fenced yard for her, as well as another young, playful dog around her size. More about Tinsley • Good with cats • Good with dogs (housemates) • Nervous when she first meets a new cat or dog, but settles with slow introductions • Nervous on walks towards people with other dogs • Reaction to children is unknown • Good with adult visitors to home. If you live in the Central Florida (Orlando) area and believe you can provide Tinsley the wonderful life and home she deserves, please complete our adoption application, and tell us more about you.
