Tina's Story

My 2 sisters and I were surrendered from a bad home situation.  My name is Tina.  I was pretty scared and shy; but I am becoming more confident each day.  When I get scared or am in pain, have nipped at my people as I am trying to protect myself.  Slowly, I am learning to trust people so I feel safer.  I am about 6 months old and weigh 8.5#.  I was the smallest and thinnest in my sib group but I am beginning to put on a little more weight.  I am eating better now; but I eat slowly so I need help keeping others out of my food so I can finish it myself.  I use the potty pad in the house and I will also toilet outside when you take me to the yard.  I like to spend a little time running around in the yard and exploring.  I also like to romp and wrestle with my sister, Crystal, as well as chew on my chew toys.  I’m still a little skittish being held but am beginning to relax a little more as I gain confidence and learn to trust my people.  We are working on leash walking but I’m still hesitant to do much of that.  I sleep through the night and still spend much of the day sleeping as puppies do.  I will have all my shots, be chipped and be spayed before going to my new family.  I just need a chance with a patient, gentle, calm family who can nurture me and help me gain my confidence.  It would be wonderful to have my own people who understands my needs and can give me the space and time I need as I mature into adulthood.  Will that be you?
