Timon's Story

Meet Timon & Pumbaa, a bonded pair who have been through far more than they ever deserved.

These two were surrendered together and arrived at the shelter very shy, but it didn't take long for them to discover that people can be kind. Now, they're both incredibly affectionate, gentle, and loving. Belly rubs and snuggles are their love languages, and when staff took them out together, they happily sat in our laps side-by-side, completely content just being close to each other and their people.

Timon is the larger of the two and is currently receiving treatment from our clinic because he arrived severely emaciated. He's also a little more confident than Pumbaa, who relies heavily on Timon for reassurance and comfort. Pumbaa constantly looks for Timon and follows his lead, and the two prefer to stay close together both in and out of their kennel. Because of this, they are listed as bonded, and we truly hope they can find a home together.

Despite clearly experiencing neglect, these boys have remained incredibly forgiving. They walk nicely on leash, appear to be housetrained, and are smart, gentle, and exceptionally well behaved. They've quickly become staff favorites because of their wonderful personalities.

Timon and Pumbaa deserve a family who will show them the love and care they should have had all along - together.
