Timmy's estimated birth year: 2018<br/><br/>Meet little Timmy! He is a very handsome Shih tzu who was found as a stray in Detroit when we had frigid temperatures. He was very matted and had only 2 teeth. Those 2 teeth are decayed so badly that they were removed. He was groomed and look at him now!!! Timmy weighs 7#.<br/><br/>One of Timmy’s favorite things is being outside. Give him some grass and a little sunshine, and he’s a happy guy, rolling around and enjoying the simple things in life. Timmy is incredibly loving and cuddly, but he’s not clingy. He enjoys his pets and the occasional lap time, but mostly he just likes being near his people, quietly keeping you company. Despite having no teeth, Timmy is a serious chowhound. His favorite meals are canned pâté, especially when it’s topped with shredded chicken or turkey. Good with dogs and cats. Children 12 years old or older. Timmy's forever home is required to have a totally enclosed, physically fenced yard where he can safely run, play, and hang out with his people. He is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, on monthly heartworm preventative as well as house and crate-trained. Sweet Timmy would love to find a home that will allow him to live his best life and be a treasured part of a family!<br/><br/>All dogs we rescue stay with us until they find their forever homes. We do not do same-day adoptions. A home visit is required to ensure our dog is going to a safe environment and our dog gets along with your dog(s) and/or cat(s). We require all our dogs over the age of 1 year to attend 1 obedience class (6-week session) outside the home. You must live within 1 hour of Birmingham, MI, to adopt one of our dogs. No out-of-state or outside the U.S. adoptions or fosters.
