Timmy is a 4 1/2-year-old beagle looking for his forever home. He is crate-trained and working on house training. He is good with cats, other dogs and with kids. Timmy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to become part of your family.<br/><br/>Ahhh Sweet Timmy!! This handsome moderately active young fellow is sweet, sensitive and loving. He is still finding his way in this big brand new world. He is a bit shy and takes his time meeting new people. Each and every day he expands his world and explores new territory in his foster home. He is comfortable with other dogs and enjoys time basking in the sun, exploring and playing in the fenced in yard in his foster home. He really enjoys cuddle time in front of the TV and is always available to help his foster mom operate her laptop. <br/><br/>Timmy is just now starting to show some interest in toys but he can become startled with loud noises or machinery like lawn mowers. Timmy may be quiet but he sure is happy when he see his humans wagging his tail and doing tiny little jumps for joy. In general he is not vocal and his foster mom describes him as a happy sweet boy - one of the best pups Ive ever fostered. With a little time, we are confident Timmy will come out of his shell and become very comfortable with his Big Brand New World. <br/><br/>Timmy seems to be a very adaptable and should do well in a quiet home environment. An apartment, condo or free standing home with a fenced in area that will allow him to run, explore or bask in the sunshine could be a perfect place to his forever home. An additional dog and/or older child would also work out fine for this sweet little guy. Where does Happy Paws Rescue come into the picture? On a regular basis, research facilities have beagles that they release to us. It gives us and you a chance to give back to these sweet dogs that have contributed to the advancement of science. Fill out an application found at www.happypawsrescue.org under the *ADOPT* tab.<br/>2. Please allow 5-7 business days for us to review and respond to your application.<br/>3. Approved applicants will be invited to come meet me at a scheduled meet and greet or adoption event.<br/>4. If both you and the rescue agree that the dog you meet is a good fit for your home, you will fill out an adoption contract and exchange a small adoption fee. Your dog can go home the day of the Meet & Greet.<br/>5. We generally adopt to families within a 90 mile radius of our home base in Piscataway, NJ but may consider farther distances in the tri-state region if volunteers are available.
