Timmie is a 5-year-old male whose owner passed away, and he needs to find a new home. He is doing good at going potty outside as long as his person goes out with him, he not fond of the sub zero weather, snow ir rain in true dachshund fashion, however, on that front he does know how to use a potty pad well. He does not love a kennel, but will tolerate one. He is good on harness and leash and would be great with someone who likes walking. He is good around other dogs, but prefers to be the alpha dog or would be a good only dog in a home. He loves to chase cats but will not hurt them and is good around older kids and likes people. If he sounds like a good fit for your home, let us know and we will arrange for you to meet him. <br/><br/>All our dogs are current on vaccinations which include Rabies, Distemper/Parvo and Bordetella. They are spayed and or neutered, have been fecal tested and heartworm tested, and had a dental cleaning if necessary. They are all on heartworm and flea/tick preventative as needed in rescue. They all will have a microchip that will be registered in the adopter's name and is good for a lifetime with no additional fees. <br/><br/>The adoption process is an application, a vet reference, a home inspection, and a lifetime contract. The requested adoption donation for all our dogs is $400.<br/><br/>We do not REQUIRE a fenced in yard (some dogs do not require a fence, if they can walk well on harness and leash. This is decided by what is best for each dog individually.) <br/><br/>We are willing to adopt to out-of-state applicants, but you must travel to the foster home location of your dog which is in Omaha or within a 90-minute drive from the Omaha area to meet and travel home with your dog.
