Timber is a 9-month-old Retriever/Lab mix who’s currently enrolled in the Rusk County Second Chance Initiative prison dog training program — and she’s already winning hearts with her big smile and playful personality! This 43-pound sweetheart is spayed, heartworm negative, and full of energy. She loves everyone she meets and is great with other dogs. Timber is the type of dog who will happily join you for any adventure, whether it’s a hike, a game of fetch, or a long walk in the neighborhood. When her basic training program is complete, Timber will be ready to head home with her forever family. If you’re looking for a friendly, loving companion who will keep life exciting, Timber can’t wait to meet you!

Rusk County Pets Alive!'s Adoption Policy

The adoption application can be found on our website under the Adopt tab. Adoption fees of Rusk County Pets Alive! are $50 for cats. These fees help off-set some of the medical expenses for each animal we take in. All cats are spayed or neutered and up to date on shots.
