Tim's Story

Meet Tim: part Chihuahua, part housecat, part mysterious woodland creature.

At 6 pounds and approximately 6 years old, Tim is a delicate little gentleman with some opinions about…well, some things. By day, he is a quiet shadow, closely trailing his chosen human like a tiny, insecure bodyguard who prefers observation over interaction. Petting? Maybe. Picking him up? Absolutely not—Tim believes in consent and will file a formal complaint (with teeth) if his boundaries are ignored.

But by night? Oh, Tim transforms. The elusive daytime creature becomes a full-blown cuddle bug, burrowing deep under the covers to snuggle up like a warm potato. Couch time paired with a sweet treat (ice cream and yogurt are faves) are his absolute love language. He morphs into a very brave and forward little dude who will climb up your body for a taste.

Tim enjoys the finer things in life: sunbathing, quiet yard explorations, and politely coexisting with cats and even free-range chickens. He’s house-trained, trustworthy when left to roam, and takes his role as Neighborhood Alert System very seriously. Tim is also a world-renowned cheese connoisseur.

When you come home, Tim will perform his signature move: a lightning-fast couch exit, a quick “hello,” maybe some zoomies, and then poof—back to safety. If you’re very lucky, you may be granted a brief chin scratch audience.

Tim is looking for a calm, understanding home—ideally with humans who root for the underdog and don’t mind that their dog is actually more of a cat in a tiny dog suit. Patience, respect, and a good sense of humor required.

Tim is in foster in Mead, Colorado.

*We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. *

You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/tim

You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.
