Tilly and Toby

Meet Tilly and Toby!

This distinguished ginger gentleman and his dark haired matronly sister are searching for the perfect retirement home. They require a home that can love them both, as they are a life long bonded pair.

They are a dachshund/chihuahua mix and are between 8-10 years old. They will go to their new home UTD on vaccines, dewormed, spayed/neutered, and with a recent dental cleaning and blood panel. They are beautifully house trained, leash trained, crate trained and have wonderful manners. They also enjoy a nice car ride. They get along great with other dogs and polite children. This bonded pair is the total package!

Now don't let a few white muzzle hairs fool you. These two aren't always as sedate as they appear in the picture. As a matter of fact, they are quite playful. Tilly is a bit of a toy hoarder and Toby will play fetch for as many hours as you care to entertain him. They absolutely LOVE the yard and have the most joyful zoomies. We will require a fenced yard for this pair.

Toby can get a bit over the top in his desire to fetch, and there are times you just have to hide the ball. But then he becomes the perfect snuggler. Toby does believe cats are the enemy, so no cats in his new home. He does like kids and can entertain grandkids for hours. Toby can get very fretful and worried if his sister isn't in his sight.

Tilly may be small, but she is an independent take-charge sort of girl. Toby loves her Lil bossy self and follows her lead. She loves small stuffed toys and will collect them in a pile. She also loves yak sticks. Tilly will follow you everywhere to snoopervise your household chores. She is a real love bug and claims the left arm of the lounge chair as her throne. Tilly does have some dry eye and is doing well on OTC drops.

Both dogs came to us emaciated, but have gained weight very quickly. Tilly weighs 9.5 pounds, and Toby weighs 12 pounds. Bloodwork shows them to be beautifully healthy. And the both have a healthy heart. They just needed some deworming and good groceries. They have a lot of life and love to offer a family.

Both dogs will have a dental on Oct 6, and then will be ready to meet their new family. They will go to their new home with a leash and harness for each dog, as well as a new orthopedic bed, eye drops for Tilly, and CBD oil for Toby, and their veterinary records.

If you think this adorable pair of chiweenies would be a good fit for your family, please message us for an application. We are located near Bucyrus Ohio and we adopt to Ohio and surrounding states only. Adoption fee $250 for the pair.
