Tilly's Story

My name is Tilly, and I’m a 3-year-old black Labrador, I am a little petite girl weighing in at 37 pounds. Life is pretty good, as far as dog lives go.

My humans call me sweet and loving, and I think they’re pretty great too. My favorite thing is a good belly rub. If I’m not getting my belly scratched, I’m usually snuggled up as close as possible to my favorite human, either right by their side or on the comfortable back of the couch. It’s the best spot for people-watching. I love observing the world outside. Birds, squirrels, even the occasional cat – they’re all fascinating! I also have a few favorite toys and bones that keep me entertained, but honestly, nothing beats a good snuggle.

My humans take me on car rides, and I’m a champ. No fuss, just happy to be along for the ride. I’m also a big fan of meeting new people. I’m friendly, and I always hope they’ll stop for a pet. Treats are definitely my love language; I’m super motivated by them, which makes learning new things easy. My humans say I could learn a lot more commands, and I’m eager to prove them right!

Walking is another joy, even if I get a little excited and weave back and forth. I’m working on that, and I know with more practice, I’ll be a perfect walking companion. The only real challenge is the door. Sometimes I get *so* excited when it opens, I forget myself and want to bolt out. My humans are training me on that, and I’m learning.

When it’s time to rest, I’m happy to sleep on the bed if allowed, or I can be content in my crate, especially if some country music is playing. It’s the best lullaby. All in all, life is pretty perfect.

If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website at www.lolin.org and click on Adopt, Apply for a Dog.
