Tilly 's Story
Meet Tilly — Looking for Her Quiet, Forever Person 🐾✨

Tilly has been with us through the fall and now into winter, and we’ve spent this time really getting to know her so we can help her find the right home — not just any home. She’s a 7-year-old Mini Aussie, about 30 lbs, and like many Aussies, she has her own little quirks and routines that make her who she is.

Tilly is not a dog who wants a busy lifestyle. She truly seems happiest in a calm, predictable home with a person who understands that not every dog wants constant hands-on affection or lots of stimulation. She doesn’t ask for much — a cozy spot, patience, and someone who will let her settle in at her own pace.

Those familiar with the breed will recognize the “Aussie brain” — thoughtful, sensitive, observant. Public settings, crowded places, and lots of fuss aren’t her thing.

Tilly has gone on walks with the resident dogs in her foster home and does fine outdoors alongside them, but living with other dogs has been stressful for her. After six months, we’ve seen that this hasn’t improved, so we are confident in saying:

👉 Tilly needs a home with no other dogs.
(We know this limits things, but our priority is her comfort and happiness.)

She was surrendered by her previous family at age seven, and we think that big change has shaped how she feels about sharing space. She’s currently doing well on Hill’s Science Diet Sensitive Stomach, and she’s fostered in Billerica, MA.

Tilly’s perfect match is someone who values the quieter things — someone who can appreciate a dog who is content just being nearby, who understands boundaries, and who will give her the time she needs to trust.

If you’re looking for a companion who doesn’t need a lot of fanfare, just understanding and love, Tilly may be your girl.

📍 Fostered in Billerica, MA
💌 We’d love to talk more if you think you might be the right fit — apply or reach out to learn more about Tilly.
