Tilly's Story

Meet Tilly!

Tilly is a petite 32-pound Plott Hound mix with a sweet spirit and a gentle heart. She can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but treats and a little patience go a long way with this food-motivated girl, and she warms up quickly once she realizes you’re a friend.

Tilly loves playing with other dogs and really seems to gain confidence when she has a canine companion around. She has also done well with cats, making her a great option for a multi-pet home.

Before coming to the shelter, Tilly was used to being the center of attention in a loving home. After her owner sadly passed away, she found herself at the shelter and is now hoping to find a family to love again. She truly enjoys spending time with her people and will happily soak up affection and companionship.

Tilly has good house manners and walks nicely on leash, making her an easy companion both at home and on outings. She can tolerate being in a crate when needed, but she would much prefer free-roaming the house and staying close to her humans.

This moderately active girl is wonderfully flexible—she’s just as happy going for a walk or adventure as she is curling up next to you for a cozy day on the couch. She rides well in the car and will likely become even more comfortable with some continued exposure.

Although a little timid at first, Tilly is sweet, gentle, affectionate and ready to be someone’s loyal companion again. If you’re looking for a loving dog who enjoys both playtime and quiet time with her people, Tilly may be the perfect match.

Adoption Fee: $300

Apply to adopt here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/AGAR/Dog

Questions?
