Tilly's Story

Tilly came into us looking pretty rough, but she was still the sweetest dog ever. While being here with us she has started to grow her fur back a little and is starting to come out of her shell more and more each day. She is looking for a home that is as loving as she is.

Vinton County Dog Shelter's Adoption Policy

Please contact us directly by phone 740-596-9285. We would love to set up an appointment for potential pet parents to meet the dogs! Our $35 adoption fee includes: current year dog license, DHLPP vaccines, microchip, flea/tick treatment, wormer, leash and collar. You will also receive an $100 fee waiver for the dog to get spay/neutered at the local veterinarian office.

The Vinton County Dog Shelter strives to provide stray dogs in our county with shelter during the times when they are in need, as well as to adopt out those dogs to the best homes possible.
