Tillie's Story

Sweet Tillie is such a good dog and loves to be with her people! She is hound mix who is about 4 years old. She may have applications in progress, but is currently available.

Tillie is house broken, is great with kids and doesn't seem interested in or bothered by cats. She is dog-friendly, but may be slower to warm up to some dogs. She's doing great with her foster brother! If there are other resident dogs in her forever family, she will just need a family willing to go slow and give her time to decompress with the other dogs. Once she does, she loves to play with other dogs and cuddle with her people and get belly rubs - she would love a home with a fenced in yard to zoom around in and another fursibling to play with - she would be fine as an only dog if she had a full time human companion - perfect for someone working from home or an active retiree!

Tillie doesn't love her crate but is learning and sleeps soundly through the night. She is also working on leash training - she loves to take walks, but gets very excited on leashed adventures and is learning to slow down and smell each and every flower along the way! This girl is eager to please and would make a wonderful addition to any home - she did have some skin issues present at intake but she is healing so well and her fur is growing back beautifully! *Please note, due to chronic dry eye, she will need eye medicine twice a day for the rest of her adoreable life.

Adoption fee is $375 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only.

STS is a foster-based and volunteer-run rescue. We do not have a physical location or set hours for you to meet dogs, and it does take time to answer each inquiry. All dogs are in foster homes and once an application is approved and a home visit is completed you will be able to schedule meet and greets with available dogs. We encourage interested individuals to get approved prior to searching as it helps expedite the process. A Petfinder inquiry is not a substitute for an application.
