Tigress's Story

This beautiful girl is Tigress! She is looking for her forever home - and she is incredibly special.

Tigress is a 6 year old Mountain Cur Terrier mix who was rescued from a high-kill shelter in South Texas. We honestly couldn't tell you how she ended up there - she's sweet and submissive. We want to wrap her in our arms and protect her from the world. Tigress can be selective with other female dogs, and is currently in a home with her pup "boyfriend" (Remi), who she absolutely loves. She's sitting on his head in the photos! (Don't worry, he loves it too- it was his idea). We would recommend a home with another male dog of her size or even as a single pet. She would do best with a dog who is playful like she is, but also able to read her social cues and be patient with her to let her guard down and be the playful dog that she is- especially in the first week of being in her new home. (She only took a few days to warm up to Remi and she can't get enough of him!) She can be shy at first and might need a little time to warm up to her new home, but trust us, SHE IS WORTH IT! Tigress is a volunteer favorite to say the least!

Tigress is low energy and basically a "couch potato" she would love someone to lounge with or follow around the house but will also do well hanging out by herself or with her boyfriend until you get off work as she is house-trained. No worries-She will find something to cozy up in until you get home- even a bucket!! Tigress would do well with older children in their teens. She is a sweet and gentle girl.

Tigress is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and is completing her treatment for heartworm disease.

If you're interested in adopting Tigress, please complete an adoption application through the link below:

https://form.jotform.com/210515484620146

If you have any questions about Tigress, please contact our rescue at SaintMuttsRescue@gmail.com.

Thank you!
