Tigger - ADOPTED's Story

TIGGER HAS JOINED HIS NEW HOME WITH SEVERAL OTHER SCHNAUZERS. HIS NEW DAD SAYS TIGGER IS BOSSY, BARKY, AND ABSOLUTELY THE B-E-S-T!!!

Tigger just lost his lifetime schnauzer buddy Ziggy to cancer. To make matters even worse, his owner had had a lifestyle change and was away from home for very long periods of time. So now this little guy has to find a new home and family. Tigger is a purebred male miniature schnauzer. He is 9 years old, light salt & pepper in color, and weighs about 19 pounds. He is housetrained and gets along well with other dogs, and we would like to place him in a home with a canine companion if possible. He also has some separation anxiety, so he would do best in a home where someone is usually around. Tigger is well behaved, crate trained, and loves to go for leash walks. He he has not lived with children and should not go to a home with kids under 12 years of age, and he does not like cats. He rides nicely in the car. Typical for a schnauzer, he barks at other dogs and animals outside and also barks at visitors until he gets used to them. He will run off if not kept on leash or in a secure fenced-in area. He will do best with someone who is usually home and with a doggie buddy for company as well. He is playful and affectionate, likes to be petted and have his back and head scratched. According to his previous owner, "Tigger is very affectionate with those he knows, loves to be petted and sit with you. For those he doesn't know he is a little wary although one pet on the head is all it takes for him to be your best friend forever. He is energetic and playful -- a great companion!" Tigger is healthy, neutered, up to date on shots, and heartworm negative. Please consider adopting Tigger and helping mend his broken heart!
