Tiger in OH - Gorgeously Handsome Guy!'s Story
Tiger is a handsome, young Great Pyrenees with long, soft fur and soulful eyes that give him an eternal puppy-like appearance. He has a low activity level and is already housebroken and crate trained, and learning to walk on a leash with a harness. Tiger remains selective about who he considers "his person," reflecting his cautious yet hopeful nature. His nervous disposition stems from his past (he came out of a hoarding situation), but his desire to trust is evident in his expressive eyes. He thrives in quiet environments and prefers to be inside his crate, away from loud noises and commotion. He enjoys car rides once he's settled in the vehicle, and his favorite treats include cheddar cheese, steak, and Fritos, and he particularly loves being brushed and receiving scratches behind his ears. Socially, Tiger gets along well with dogs and has rarely met one he doesn't like, especially preferring strong, dominant females who will play with him. He largely ignores cats and would do best with calm children, as loud noises make him uncomfortable. Tiger's ideal home has a 5-foot fence and includes at least one work-from-home parent who can provide the quiet time and patience needed to help him build trust. He would benefit greatly from living with a female canine sibling who can show him the ropes, and his family should have experience with unsocialized dogs. With consistent, gentle guidance and respect for his need for independence and quiet contemplation, Tiger's silly personality will gradually emerge as he learns to feel secure in his forever home. - Are you the person(s) to bring him out of his shell?! - If yes, apply for Tiger today!

NYS Registered Rescue # RR102
NGPR dogs are in foster homes at the location specified on their full listing.
