Tiger 's Story

Tiger is 15 months old and is a 60 pound mixed breed. He was on the euthanasia list at Duplin County Animal Shelter due to space because of a full shelter when we pulled him. Tiger is a sweetheart but is all puppy!  He has to get outside and get exercise or he is just a ball of pent up energy!  He loves to run and chase the other dogs and will also play fetch forever. He brings the ball back to us over and over again so at some point, he was someone’s dog. Sadly he was found as a stray and nobody came to claim him. He is gentle with taking treats but he is what we call a “mouthy pup” where he will will take your hand in his mouth like a typical hyper puppy when we try to play with him or pet him. He is just basically starved for attention and this can be easily corrected. Once he is let out to run and play for a while, he calms down quite a bit.  He loves to be played with, petted and loves food time!  He acts like he has been hungry before and can't clean his bowl fast enough.  He's pretty easy taking treats and doesn't care if we are near or petting him while he eats.  He does well in a kennel at night too.
