Tia (Courtesy Post)'s Story

Tia is a female chihuahua mix estimated to be about 15 months old. She was found and taken in by a good Samaritan as a puppy, alongside her sister. Unfortunately, the dogs are not doing well in this household and are needing adopted out separately.

Tia and her sister, though from the same litter, do not get along well as young adults. They are aggressive over food and attention. They are very sweet on their own, and sweet to their current owner, but not around other dogs. While their owner loves them dearly, she realizes that they each need to be a home where they are the only dog and can be doted on individually and she reached out to CRT to help her find good homes for both dogs.

Tia is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, housebroken, and has been through basic dog obedience training. So for someone that does not want to deal with the puppy stage, she would be an ideal companion! Tia is extremely loving and sweet, likes to cuddle and be held, and enjoys sleeping under the covers. It would just be best that they are the only dog in the house. They have not been cat tested.

Tia’s adoption donation is $250.

If you are interested in the above dog, please do not email us and tell us that you are interested, but submit an adoption application. The link for the application is below.

To submit an application go here: http://www.chihuahua-rescue.com/adoption-application/

An application must be submitted and approved before a meet-n-greet can be scheduled.

Your current dogs/cats must be spayed or neutered unless a veterinarian has determined that your current pet(s) should not be fixed due to medical reasons. They must also be up-to-date on shots and on HW preventative.

Reference checks and a home visit are required so SE dogs can only be adopted in NC/SC, VA, TN, AL, MD and GA.
