Thunder's Story

Meet Thunder — and don't let the name fool you... this boy is all heart and zero storm.

Thunder is getting ready to find a home of his own, and if you're looking for a loving, loyal companion, he's already practicing for the role. While he doesn't mind sharing space with his foster siblings, what he really wants is a cozy bed (or couch ) to call his own — preferably right next to his person.

From the moment you meet him, Thunder makes one thing clear: he loves people. He's the type of dog who believes strangers are just friends he hasn't kissed yet, and he'll happily prove it within seconds. Affection is his love language, and he's always ready to hand out kisses and soak up pets.

He's got a great foundation already — Thunder knows basic commands like sit and down, has solid recall, and takes treats gently (even if he acts a little overexcited about them at first!). He's also discovering the joys of couch snuggles, and let's just say... he's a quick learner when it comes to comfort.

Personality-wise, Thunder is more of a lover than a watchdog. While the other dogs keep an eye on the door, he's content taking a back seat and hoping there's no need for any “security work.” His ideal day involves hanging out near his people, relaxing, and being included in whatever's going on.

He's still working on a few things — like feeling fully comfortable with free roaming, as he can be a bit protective of “his” space. But he's already making progress and learning how to share his environment more confidently.

The bottom line: Thunder is a happy, affectionate, incredibly people-loving dog who just wants a home where he can feel safe, loved, and part of the family.
