These beautiful mutts are a mix of fun colors and even sizes. DNA has them with 21 different breeds - just WOW! Even the darker puppies, have a brindle undercoat - we are guessing that's from the AmStaff from their mommy. Born around August 20th - they are mostly in the 11# range at about 12 weeks. Some are a little bigger, some a little smaller. These puppies can be a little timid with new things, but they just arrived and once comfortable are typical active puppies!<br/><br/>Thorne is a biggin' - at 14#, he's the biggest in the litter. We hope his little white forehead blaze never disappears - it's adorable. We are working on more photos. He's loving the foster's resident big dog - chase is fun! He takes a little time warm up, and we think another friendly dog in the home would be great to help with the transition to his new life. His foster mom says he mastered the bell ringing to go outside pretty quickly - he's a SMART boy! <br/><br/>This puppy is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated to appropriate age when they go home. They will need two more puppy shots, including rabies at 16 weeks. Puppies are good with dogs, cats, kids and more. Being a puppy, they will need lots of training, including housebreaking. Remember, puppies are cute, but they have sharp teeth, need to be fed 3 times a day and poop... a lot! <br/><br/>The 3-3-3 rule is a guideline for transitioning a rescue dog into its new home and helping it to settle in. It suggests that the first three days should be used for adjusting to its new surroundings, the next three weeks for training and bonding, and the first three months for continued socialization and training.<br/><br/>Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption. <br/><br/>Adoptions typically take place in Stanwood / Marysville area. We don’t hold puppies, adoption applications may be approved in just a couple days. If you are planning on a vacation or have an issue that may delay your ability to pick up your puppy within a few days of approval, please do not submit an application. <br/><br/>Adoption fee is $475. Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3 and half of your adoption fee may be tax deductible. <br/><br/>Save-A-Mutt is a foster based rescue, we do not have a facility to visit. Our adoptions are typically done Monday - Saturday, we are closed on Sunday’s to give our volunteers at least one day off. You must be available to do meets and adoptions during that time frame. We can make exceptions only with the approval of the foster home.<br/><br/>Please note, we have approximately a 300 mile adoption radius - Portland OR area and Vancouver BC is the farthest north. We don’t ship dogs, once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up your puppy.
