Thor came from a bad situation where he and 11 other dogs were not being fed or given any attention. In spite of all that, Thor is friendly and craves affection. He loves back scratches and cuddles! He appears to be a little hard of hearing but he is not deaf. Since being here he has learned how to walk on a leash and sit for treats. He is very smart and eager to please. He is also a goofball and we all love him...you will too! Stone County Humane Society Inc.'s Adoption Policy
We approve adoptions over the phone by responding to a completed adoption application. Please go to our website schspets.org and complete an online application and someone will contact you. Our adoption fees are $150 for shelter dogs and $200 for Paws in Prison trained dogs, and $75 for cats. We take only cash or check no credit cards. We are open daily from 2 to 5 by appointment only (during the Pandemic). Volunteers are here Monday - Friday from 11 to 5 to answer the phone and help with adoptions.
