THOR IS IN THE HOUSE!<br/>Thor is a 6 year old, neutered big Weimie Boy (93 lbs!) that is looking for his forever family! But don't let his size fool ya! He's a love! He could stand to loose a pound or 5 (hey! can't we all?!), but he is a "big boned" guy, so he would probably do best with older children.<br/>He knows his basic commands and is very eager to please! He's housebroken and crate trained and loves his people - but definitely has a prey drive, so no cats (or squirrels!). He is good with other dogs of all sizes. He's even found a crazy Doodle friend who appreciates his gentle play! <br/>He's been a "man about town" with his foster dad while learning to walk with his gentle leader. You can find him greeting folks during his daily walks on the Atlanta Beltline and sampling the veggies at the weekly Farmer's Market! Atlanta Weimaraner Club Rescue's Adoption Policy

The Atlanta Weimaraner Club Rescue uses a common process in rescue program. You will find this to be the case with any reputable rescue organization. Potential homes are screened carefully to make sure they can provide an appropriate environment. We are glad to have phone conversations and communicate by email. We have a pre-adoption application, a vet check on current and prior animals, a home visit, and binding contract. All this would need to be done before placement. All of our rescue dogs must be spayed or neutered. We do not place intact dogs. They must also be micro-chipped, with registration to be updated at time of adoption. Our dogs will be up to date with veterinary needs prior to adoption. Patience is in order for most of our applicants. An appropriate Weim may or may not be available at this time. Sometimes we get a call for an owner-surrender or we may get a call from a shelter about an available dog. We encourage our owners who surrender to hold onto their dog if possible.
