Thor

Thor is a one year old, high energy Doberman who is looking for a job. If you are an experienced Doberman owner and have the time and energy to match Thor's we would love to hear from you! Thor was purchased from a breeder as a young pup and then surrendered to a shelter in rural Ohio. The shelter staff was able to locate his former owner/breeder to return him where he rightfully should have been taken to be reunited. <br/><br/>We were contacted by his breeder asking to surrender him and without pause our top Doberman foster provider was able to arrange a temperament test and admit him into our program. <br/><br/>Thor was not neutered when he arrived at Secondhand Mutts in mid-November but we've since arranged surgery and his recovery. Thor has been enjoying the company of his own kind staying in a home with a handful of Doberman Pinscher including Secondhand Mutts Sam, Ivy and Hoss all of whom he gets along with. <br/><br/>Thor needs daily exercise and continued socialization and foundation training. We believe he was trained on a remote/stim collar which is not our preferred method of teaching dogs their commands. We anticipate once Thor has captured the heart of his "person" he will be the best friend this breed is known to be with his handler.
