Meet Thomas!<br/><br/>Thomas is a young beagle mix - we say mix because he's way too tall to be full beagle. We don't know exactly what he's mixed with but it's definitely some kind of hound. He's only about a year old so very, VERY much still a crazy goofy goober with puppy-like energy and behaviors. He's about 35lbs so a good medium-sized boy...just with very long legs.<br/><br/>Thomas is all things beagle - he has the big beagle bark, the need for speed, and the neverending urge to chase rabbits and squirrels. He does well with other dogs and just wants to play with them immediately so any other dog in the home will need to match the ✨vibes✨ We are looking for a home without cats - he'll be an instigator and pester them incessantly at the absolute minimum.<br/><br/>Unfortunately for Thomas, he is heartworm positive. He will be starting treatment soon so we are looking for a "foster to adopt" arrangement. Treatment will be handled by us at one of our local vets so adopters must be prepared and be able to reliably make it to and from appointments. He also needs his activity restricted - leash walks are okay but, much to his displeasure, the speed demon antics need to be put on hold for now. He isn't terrible on a leash but does have the tendency to zigzag.<br/><br/>Thomas is a sweet, affectionate, outgoing guy that loves people, attention, and all kinds of affection. He'll run right up to anyone and be their best friend - stranger danger is not a concept he knows and he doesn't care to find out.
