Thistle's Story

**Meet Thistle!**
Thistle is a 1-year-old Great Pyrenees/Lab mix with a soft white and cream coat and a heart full of potential. She came to us as a very nervous girl, unsure of the world around her. It seems like she didn’t get much socialization as a puppy—new things can still spook her—but with time, patience, and a gentle hand, Thistle has started to bloom.
Now that she’s warming up to the shelter staff, her sweet personality is shining through. She’s become a *very* smiley girl who absolutely adores hard toys, and once she trusts you, all she wants is to sit in your lap and soak up every cuddle she can get. She’s a total snugglebug once you’re in her circle.
Thistle also has lovely leash manners and is happy to go for calm walks by your side. We’re not sure yet how she does with other dogs, cats, or kids, but she came in with marker on her fur—so we think she may have lived with children.
If you have a calm home and a lot of love to give, Thistle might just be the perfect quiet companion who’s waiting to grow into her confidence right beside you.
If you’re interested in Thistle please fill out an adoption questionnaire:
https://www.gobroomecounty.com/.../dog_shelter_adoption....
We encourage you to reach out if you don’t hear back or if you have further questions Phone:607-778-2493 Email:muttsrus@BroomeCountyny.gov
