Theo's Story
My name is Theo, and my foster family calls me Tigger. T-I-double guh-er! Because I love to bounce! I enjoy playing and walking; I say hi to everyone. I adore other dogs, cats, children- I want to be everyone’s friend! I live with two cats, (They are kind of like Piglet and Rabbit) and I am very gentle with them.

I can live with or without a canine companion. If I’m the only dog in the home, I need people to spend time with me during the day so I don’t lose my bounce!

I had a very rough start- I came to REGAP 20 lbs underweight, anemic, heart worm +, and extremely weak, but you wouldn’t know it now! They think I was confined in a small space too much, which caused some issues with mobility in my hind legs. My strength has improved so much since then! I completed the LONG process of heart worm treatment like a champ. That’s because Tiggers are resilient and fearless!

Oh, and smart, of course! I can sit, lay down, stay, and am learning “here boy”! I love meal time and treats! As your faithful companion, I like to see what you’re doing. While I occasionally make my presence known with a bark or two, I do not bark a lot inside the house. I’m not a fan of being cooped in a kennel where I can’t practice my bouncing, but it’s no bother because I don’t chew or ruin anything in the house. I know you must wait to go outside to do your business!

I would love to bring my excellent manners and positive energy to your family. Give me a chance to prove that I’m marvelous, one of a kind!

We adopt within 1 1/2 hours of Kansas City.
