Thelma's Story
This sweet 8-year-old lady came to us from one of our rural shelter partners after being found as a stray alongside several other dogs. While we don't know much about her past, we know exactly what kind of dog she is now - the absolute sweetest girl.
Thelma is around 15 pounds of long blonde hair, tiny legs, and BIG personality. We're guessing maybe Dachshund/Chihuahua mix... but honestly your guess is as good as ours.
She's a senior gal and, like so many older dogs, could easily be overlooked. But seniors are some of the most special dogs you'll ever meet. They ask for so little and give so much in return.
Thelma's perfect day? A comfy bed for a good nap, cuddles with her people, and approximately 47 snacks. She isn't a fan of being picked up, tolerates other dogs just fine, and was more than ready to leave shelter life behind for a foster or forever home. She's currently with our director but ready for hers new beginning!
Senior dogs deserve soft landings too, and Thelma is beyond ready for hers. If interested in fostering or adopting this sweet older gal apply on our website at www.dustytailsanimalrescue.org
