Thea's Story

Meet Thea, she is in need of a home. Her original owners were not able to care for her as they are an elderly couple and she is very young and active pup.
Thea is now being fostered in a home with other dogs, but she would prefer to be an only dog in the household.
She is 3 years old, spayed and weighs about 18 pounds.
She looks to be a Jack Russell mix. She is up to date on her vaccinations, house trained, & crate trained.
She LOVES people but not other dogs so we feel like she would do best in a single dog household.
Her foster moms says: Thea is very affectionate, personable and has yet to meet a stranger. She loves her squeaky toys and is good on walks and in the car. She understands a few obedience commands and I am working on getting her to learn more. She is high-value-food motivated and learns VERY quickly. She has no known medical issues. I feel like she could be the dog that goes happily with you in the car, to the stores, and just about everywhere and would be a best friend.
If you are interested in adopting Thea please send us an email at themuttmeetup@gmail.com telling us a little about yourself and your household and we can connect you with her foster mom. This is a courtesy post! We do not have Thea but will put you in contact with her foster family.

The Mutt Meetup Inc.'s Adoption Policy
Adopters must fill out an adoption application, then based on the individual dogs' needs, if the potential adopter meets those needs, we do a meet and greet and then a foster to adopt trial period. If everything goes well during the trial period and the dog is a good fit for the family and vice versa we do an adoption contract with a fee to help cover costs of the dogs medical care, which is always a small fraction of what we actually paid for their care. We provide the adopter with all of their medical records and known history at that time.

Our Mission
The Mutt Meetup aims to provide all dogs with a safe place to socialize and become better well-rounded dogs. We use our business as a safe place for rescue dogs that are in high kill or overcrowded shelters that need medical care or better socialization so they can have a higher chance of being adopted.
