Texas Sunshine's Story
Texas Sunshine is from.....well....you guessed it....Texas! We actually didn't even name her. The staff at the vet all fell in love with her immediately and the Texas foster mentioned she didn't have a name. They all thought her name should be Sunshine! (We added the "Texas" to it because what they didn't know is that we had a Sunshine in Georgia!). She's estimated to be 2 years old and weighs in at 78lbs.

She was found dumped on a back deserted road in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas near the Mexico border. Our Texas foster SAW the truck drive off and has it on video. Her concern was more about the dog than the truck so unfortunately you cannot see the license plate number. We have photos of when she was found and our foster offered her food and water while she could figure out what to do. We could not leave her there in the 105 degree heat alone.
The the photo of her in the sand is from the day she was found and rescued.

Her Texas foster Mom says she LOVES to be pet. She's a beautiful girl who gets along great with other dogs of all sizes and genders. She's quite calm and very smart. We think she will be ok with cats as long as they don't run.

She’s currently fostered in Griswold CT. Her foster Mom thinks she is stunning! Such a gentle giant. She loved her at hello .

ALL OF OUR DOGS ARE or will be SPAYED OR NEUTERED.

The Chasing Sunshine Dog Rescue adoption donation is $595.00. This includes: spay/neuter (at our vet), vaccines (dhpp, bordetella, rabies), microchip, health certificate, fecal test and our dogs are on preventatives for fleas/ticks/heartworm.

Out of state adopters must also pay for an interstate health certificate to their state. (This is typically around $65.00. Adopter will pay actual cost.)

To apply to adopt one of our dogs fill out our adoption application at this link:
https://form.jotform.com/ChasingSunshine/Chasing-Sunshine-Adoption-App

For questions email: chasingsunshinedogrescue@gmail.com
Check out our website at www.chasingsunshinedogrescue.org
We are also on Facebook, TikTok & Instagram.
