Handsome Hound mix Tex could be a male model with his bright and colorful brindle coat and his long legs and lean physique. Believe it or not, this gorgeous guy spent the first several months of his life living in a shelter before he joined us at TNT. Tex is now 9.5 months old and weighing in at about 40 pounds, he should be nearly full grown! Tex is a super friendly and curious pup who is interested in other dogs and all the older children he has met. He is friendly with new humans and would love to find a person or family who will provide him with lots of physical and mental stimulation! He will be a great fetch buddy with a good tennis ball or frisbee!<br/><br/>Tex is doing well walking on a leash but will need further training to be his most polite leash-walkin self. He's an excitable guy so he's learning "down" and also learning what he can and cannot chew on. He is doing great with crate training and potty training, too! Bonus points for the fact that Tex is very treat motivated which will help with his continued training! When he's outside, Tex enjoys taking in the scenery and chasing every rabbit out of the yard (quickly). He is instantly happy with chewy treats and rawhides, and he adores tossing his plushie toys in the air. This guy is such a fun-loving friend, he will be a wonderful addition to an active home where he can soak up attention and activity!
