Gentle and calm rather than boisterous and rowdy, like other dogs her age, Tessa wags her tail instead of jumping on you. She has spent the majority of her short life in a crate, but that life is over. <br/><br/>With her shepherd coloring and thick coat, without a frame of reference for size, you would not know that she is only around 35 lbs. during several days recently in a foster home, Tessa proved what a worthy girl she is. Housebroken, respectful with the resident dog, a curious observer of the outdoor critters and happy to join sleep on the bed with her foster parents. If you want a great dog, run, don't walk to meet Tessa!<br/><br/>As with all shy, skittish dogs, the risk of flight is always a concern. With training, patience and understanding, Tessa would be a wonderful companion in many homes.<br/><br/>You can visit the dogs from noon - 3 pm Saturdays and Sundays, otherwise by appointment.
