Meet Tess 🤍<br/><br/>Hi! I’m Tess the Mess, a 2.5 year-old Dogo girl with a big heart and an even bigger personality. My journey hasn’t been an easy one. My sister and I were found as “strays” and ended up in a shelter, where a bad experience with other dogs changed how I felt about canine friends. When my time was almost up, a rescue stepped in and gave me the second chance I so desperately deserved. Now I’m thriving at a farm in Tampa, FL, surrounded by people who believe in me.<br/><br/>Today, Tess 2.0 is a confident, joyful girl weighing just under 90 pounds. I absolutely adore people and soak up attention like sunshine. Walks are one of my favorite things, and I also know how to entertain myself. My morning zoomies are legendary, and I take toy collecting very seriously! I even dive into the pond to retrieve toys, head underwater and all.<br/><br/>Food is the way to my heart, which makes training fun and rewarding (hot dogs earn bonus points). I’ve come a long way since my shelter days, healed up beautifully, and my bright white coat now matches how good I feel inside. I’m also continuing to build confidence around other dogs from a safe distance, which I’m really proud of.<br/><br/>I’m looking for a home where I can be the only pet, with a patient, active family who understands my past and wants to help me keep growing. A yard to run and play in would be ideal. I haven’t been around cats or young kids, so an adult-only home or one with older children is best.<br/><br/>If you’re searching for a loyal, loving, and entertaining companion with loads of personality, I might just be your perfect match.
