Welcome Tenzin! Our newest hound boy is 2 years old and about 50 pounds, and he’s as big as he’s going to get unless he lucks out and finds a family that’s very generous with the treats.

Tenzin is already housebroken and crate-trained. He will go into his crate on command (but appreciates a treat or two), and he likes to bring some entertainment in with him -- Foster Mom’s slippers are a favorite. With whatever prized items he brings in, he never chews them up; he just temporarily re-locates them to keep him company!

This good boy is cat-friendly. In fact, he’s a little scared of them and leaves them alone or walks to hide out in his crate until the coast is clear of kitties. He lives with other dogs and does well with them. Tenzin likes to make friends, particularly with LeeLoo, and he will flop over on the ground and his back the moment they start playing. He’s a great dog park dog because he’s so easy to get along with.

With people, Tenzin acts a little shy at first, but he gets over that very quickly. Most of the time, he’s laid back and doesn’t demand attention, but he does like it. He loves getting pets and, when given the option of getting pets or eating breakfast, will actually pick the attention! Sometimes, he’s just too worn out from playing that he will eat his meals laying down!

Tenzin isn’t a high energy dog, but he likes to get some exercise every day. Walking around the park and wrestling with other dogs are his favorite, but as long as he’s got enough energy to stay healthy and happy, that’s good enough for him!

Tenzin is an easy boy to get along with, but with the right family, we think he’ll gain a little bit more confidence and really enjoy all the world has to offer him! Are you interested in adopting him? Contact us today!

We typically adopt to homes within 30 minutes of Athens, GA, as we require a basic home check to ensure all dogs are placed in a safe environment. If you are further away than that and are interested in one of our pups, please still fill out an application and we can discuss your options.
